Paper wasps appear to be reddish-brown with a yellow circle. Paper wasps are around 1 inch in length and have longer legs and slenderer bodies than yellow jackets and hornets. These wasps tend to build their nests in dry, warm places since their nest doesn’t have a covering they tend to be selective on where to build.
